Job Description

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an ICU position in a trauma level 2 setting with night shifts and Michigan RN licensure required.

• Medical ICU in a hospital environment
• Trauma level 2 patient population
• Shifts are 7pm to 7am, three 12-hour shifts per week
• Weekend and holiday availability required
• Potential to float to a nearby sister hospital
• 13-week contract assignment
• No blocked scheduling allowed
• Responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient care in the ICU
• Expected to delegate, supervise, and document care and teaching for patients and families
• Must complete all onboarding and background check requirements with specified vendors at least two weeks before start date
• Holiday coverage is required according to unit needs
• No first-time travelers accepted for this role

• Active Michigan RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of recent ICU experience
• ACLS and BLS certifications from AHA required
• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing
• Previous experience in a trauma level 2 ICU required
• Completion of onsite online modules with passing score prior to start
• COVID-19 vaccination required
