Cardiology APP Locums – $130/Hour | Jackson, Michigan | 7 On / 7 Off

An established hospital in Jackson, Michigan, is seeking two experienced Cardiology Advanced Practice Providers (NPs/PAs) for inpatient-focused locum tenens coverage beginning in January 2027. Earn $130/hour while enjoying a predictable 7-days-on, 7-days-off schedule, no overnight shifts, and no on-call responsibilities.

This is an excellent opportunity for experienced cardiology APPs who enjoy inpatient rounding, collaborating with physicians, and supporting patients through discharge and post-procedure care.

• Location: Jackson, Michigan
• Practice Setting: Inpatient, hospital-based
• Facility: Level II Trauma Center
• Patient Population: Adult and geriatric
• Coverage Needed: 2 providers
• Patient Volume: Approximately 20–25 patients per day
• Inpatient/Outpatient Mix: 80% inpatient / 20% outpatient
• EMR: Epic
• Clinical Support: Work alongside cardiologists on the inpatient rounding service
• Procedures: No procedural skills required
• Leadership/Teaching Opportunities: Available

• Participate in inpatient cardiology rounds alongside physicians.
• Manage follow-up patients on the inpatient cardiology service.
• Provide discharge instructions and coordinate transitions of care.
• Manage post-procedure patient care and follow-up.
• Collaborate with physicians and the multidisciplinary care team to ensure high-quality patient care.

• Target Start: January 2027
• Schedule: 7 days on / 7 days off
• Coverage: 2 weeks per month
• Workdays: Sunday–Saturday
• Hours: 7:30 AM–4:00 PM
• Overnight Shifts: None
• On-Call Responsibilities: None

• Hourly Pay: $130/hour

• Board Certification – Required
• Active Michigan License at the time of name clearance – Required
• Minimum 3 years of cardiology experience in both inpatient and outpatient settings – Required
• BLS and ACLS through the American Heart Association – Required
• Clean background with no malpractice or medical license issues – Required
• Acute Care training – Preferred
• Epic EMR familiarity – Preferred
• Eligible certification through AANP (NP) or NCCPA (PA), as applicable
• DEA registration, as applicable to the position
