Real Estate Title Agent II

Client is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Real Estate Title Agent II to support land and real estate operations in Jackson, MI. The role requires a strong background in land title research, real estate conveyance documentation, and due diligence review. This position is 100% onsite.

• Review and interpret a variety of real estate documents, including rights-of-way, leases, easements, licenses, releases.
• Perform internal and external due diligence to ensure accuracy and completeness of land rights, identify deficiencies and recommend curative actions.
• Conduct land title research using courthouse and government office records and prepare detailed chain of title reports.
• Interpret and analyze land legal descriptions and create and maintain spreadsheets and documentation supporting real estate transactions.
• Ensure adherence to company policies, procedures, and industry best practices.
• Manage workload independently while adapting to shifting priorities and deadlines.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in the Right-of-Way or Real Estate industry.
• At least 1 year working directly as a Title Agent.
• Proficient in interpreting legal land descriptions and settlement instruments.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
