This position will perform site readiness reviews prior to construction, including checking if the site is accessible, to grade, and if both customer and public facilities are located and staked, trench path is available, forestry is complete, obstructions in the area are cleared, customer conduits are installed and marked, traffic control requirements are met, primary and secondary voltages are identified and verified, special equipment needs are identified, materials are delivered, gas meter is mounted in the designed location and inspected, gas meter location is marked, and other miscellaneous site observations.

The position also involves identifying boring requirements if needed and arranging for hydrovac assistance.

The ideal candidate must have knowledge of gas main and service construction methods and procedures, roadway protection requirements, capabilities of tools and equipment, ability to read and understand blueprints used in line construction, and a keen sense of safety to identify and mitigate hazards on the jobsite prior to the crew arriving to perform work.

Basic skills in Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook) and proficiency in uploading and downloading files from remote locations via wireless connectivity are also required.

The successful candidate must be dependable with good time management skills, ability to organize and prioritize workload to meet a schedule, excellent communication skills, and be a team player.

High School Diploma is required.
