The OpportunityAre you the person who turns a busy calendar, competing priorities, and unfinished tasks into an organized plan? Do you enjoy anticipating what's needed and following through without constant direction?
We're seeking a proactive, resourceful Executive Assistant to support the CEO and COO of a Mississippi medical cannabis business. You'll work closely with both leaders, helping them manage their time, stay organized, and keep commitments moving forward.
Your primary focus will be executive support, with responsibilities spanning the cannabis company, a commercial real estate portfolio, and the executives' other business and personal ventures. This is a long-term opportunity for someone who enjoys variety, values discretion, and takes pride in being a trusted partner to leadership.
What You'll DoKeep executive priorities organized
- Manage calendars, coordinate meetings, and arrange travel for the CEO and COO.
- Help organize daily priorities and track longer-term commitments.
- Maintain clear follow-up systems so deadlines, decisions, and action items receive attention.
- Coordinate communication with team members, business partners, and outside professionals.
Keep projects and business activities moving
- Coordinate project details and track progress across businesses and properties.
- Follow up with vendors, contractors, tenants, consultants, and team members.
- Organize documents and maintain practical systems for finding and sharing information.
- Research topics and prepare concise summaries to support executive decisions.
Support financial and administrative organization
- Maintain organized expense records, basic ledgers, and entity documentation.
- Prepare and submit expense reports.
- Coordinate information and document requests with accountants, attorneys, and other advisers.
- Handle sensitive business, financial, and personal information with care.
Provide personal and logistical support
- Coordinate appointments, reservations, errands, and personal scheduling for both executives.
- Help manage day-to-day details that allow the executives to focus on their priorities.
- Experience as an executive assistant, office coordinator, or in a comparable role supporting busy leaders.
- Strong organizational skills and reliable follow-through across multiple priorities.
- Sound judgment about what to handle independently and when to ask for direction.
- Clear, professional written and verbal communication.
- Discretion, integrity, and respect for confidential information.
- Comfort supporting two executives and communicating openly about competing requests.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and a willingness to learn project management software and AI tools, using them responsibly with sensitive information.
- Comfort working in the medical cannabis industry and supporting several distinct business interests.
Bookkeeping experience, familiarity with Quick Books, and experience supporting owners or founders are helpful, but not required.
Why This RoleYou'll work directly with the CEO and COO and see the practical impact of your work every day. For someone who enjoys solving problems, creating order, and making a leader’s day run more smoothly, this role offers variety, close collaboration, and the opportunity to build a lasting professional relationship.
