About Children of America (COA)

You work alongside the Lead Teacher and a talented team of educators in a supportive environment where you are encouraged to grow in your field and share your passion for early childhood education. Our program serves preschool children 6 weeks‑12 years of age across Infant, Toddler, Preschool, Pre‑K, Before and After Care, and Summer Camp.
Who Will You Interact With?This position interacts daily with the Lead Teacher, children, parents, the management team, and teaching staff.
Requirements- CDA (or childcare related degree) preferred
- At least 6 months of experience in a licensed childcare setting
- Flexible in challenging situations
- Strong organizational skills
- Ability to build strong relationships
- Commitment to professional development
- Effective decision‑making
- First Aide/CPR trained
- Meet all state requirements
- Directly support the Lead Teacher in carrying out daily lessons
- Willingness to grow into the Lead Teacher role
- Communicate appropriately and professionally with parents and fellow staff
- Excellent writing skills
- Use technology to deliver child progress reports
- Ensure a safe, structured learning environment
- Show empathy toward children's emotions and parents’ needs
- Present expectations appropriate to the child’s age
- Be creative, passionate about your work, and have fun

The hourly pay rate range for this position is $17.00 to $19.00 per hour. Final compensation will be based on experience, skills, location, and internal equity. The role may also be eligible for performance‑based incentives or other benefits.
