Position: Project Scheduler (Data Center)

Job Summary

A P6 Scheduler (Commercial Construction) who will work under the guidance of a senior scheduler and/or project manager to assist in planning and scheduling responsibilities for small to mid‑sized projects. Responsibilities include assembling and analyzing project data, developing basic schedules, and contributing to the identification of potential project risks. This role involves applying fundamental scheduling techniques and cost analysis methods while gaining hands‑on experience in project planning and coordination.

Qualifications
  • Education:

    Bachelor’s degree in construction management, engineering, or a related field (preferred). Equivalent education, training, or experience may substitute for a degree.
  • Experience:

    2‑5 years of experience in CPM scheduling for commercial construction projects.
  • Technical

    Skills:

    Working knowledge of scheduling software (e.g., Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, Smart

    PM).
  • Certifications:

    No certification is required, but PSP or PMI‑SP certification is a plus.
  • Preferred

    Skills:

    Basic knowledge of construction processes, resource allocation, and cost‑loaded schedules.
  • Requirements:
    Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word and Excel; familiarity with Primavera P6 and ERP cost management tools; foundational knowledge of construction disciplines and scheduling best practices; experience in supporting project schedules, updating timelines, and assisting with project reporting.
Primary Duties
  • Develop and maintain project schedules for small to mid‑sized projects.
  • Determine the appropriate level of detail for each phase of the schedule.
  • Generate regular progress reports and assist in presenting findings.
  • Help track labor, equipment, and material allocation to prevent conflicts.
  • Support cost‑loaded schedules and productivity tracking.
  • Identify potential scheduling risks and propose basic mitigation strategies.
  • Assist in analyzing and incorporating project changes into the schedule.
  • Work with subcontractors and vendors to verify schedule updates.
  • Contribute to progress reports and schedule narratives for documentation.
  • Collaborating with project managers and teams leads to monitoring status and suggest improvements.

  • Safety Responsibilities and Expectations
    • Responsible for refusing unsafe work and for carrying out all work in accordance with the established Yates Safety Procedures and Work Practices.

    • Advise fellow employees of hazardous situations.
    • Participate in workplace inspections.
    • Comply with statutory requirements, including duty of care.
    • Participate in required and/or assigned training.
    • Provide suggestions to improve Safety.

    • Attend prestart and Safety meetings and contribute.
    • Assists with administering the site safety program as required and ensuring Trade Partner compliance with OSHA standards and Yates Site Specific Requirements and all applicable safety codes and regulations.
  • Other related duties as needed and assigned by the Manager in support of the successful completion of the project.

Physical Demands
