Operations Manager, Program / Project Manager
Overview
Large Nationwide Construction Company urgently seeks an experienced Site Manager or Superintendent to oversee the construction of state-of-the-art data centers and distribution warehouses. This role is hands-on and requires managing a diverse team of construction professionals and ensuring timely project completion.
Job Details- Size of projects: $100M+, 100,000 sq ft
- Projects include data centers, distribution warehouses, food processing plants, automotive manufacturing plants
- Work schedule:
open to 10 days on 4 days off; occasional nationwide travel to substitute for others - Location:
nationwide (travel required)
- Oversee and direct construction projects from conception to completion, ensuring on-time delivery, budget adherence, and high quality
- Review and interpret project plans and specifications, recommending improvements as needed
- Coordinate and supervise a team of construction workers and subcontractors, promoting a productive environment
- Manage and mitigate project risks, identifying potential issues and implementing solutions
- Ensure compliance with safety and building regulations; maintain meticulous site activity records
- Liaise with clients, architects, and engineers; provide regular progress updates and address queries
- Conduct site inspections and audits; implement corrective actions as necessary
- Manage project resources, including labor, materials, and equipment, ensuring optimal utilization and minimal waste
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, preferably in data center or distribution warehouse construction
- Extensive knowledge of construction processes, materials, and regulations
- Proficient in MEP systems with strong data center infrastructure understanding
- Experience managing mission-critical construction projects with multiple simultaneous projects
- Excellent leadership and team management skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and proactive issue mitigation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with clients, architects, engineers, and teams
- Proficient in construction management software/tools
- Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
- Certification in Construction Health and Safety or related field is a plus
Base pay range: $/yr - $/yr
