About The Role
As a CBRE ALTA Survey Technician, you will be responsible for operating and maintaining surveying equipment and performing assigned surveying tasks by completing the following duties.
- Operate and maintain all technical survey equipment assigned by the corporation.
- Perform assigned surveys to establish lines and grades at commercial sites and property boundaries.
- Provide topographic surveys of assigned areas.
- Perform and document all calculations necessary in support of survey reports.
- Prepare time sheets and expense reports.
- Upload field data, notes, photos, and maintain a personal job schedule.
- Lead by example and model behaviors consistent with CBRE RISE values, and may help achieve agreements.
- Impact the quality of own work and that of others on the team.
- Work primarily within standardized procedures and practices to achieve objectives and meet deadlines.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.

- High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 2 years of job‑related experience, or a combination of experience and education.
- Valid driver’s license.
- Meet the physical requirements of this role including stooping, standing, walking, climbing stairs or ladders, and the ability to lift or carry heavy loads of 100 pounds or more.
- Equipment knowledge of total stations, GPS, data collectors, metal detectors, general surveying equipment, and Carlson software.
- Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals; ability to write routine reports and correspondence; ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization.
- Understanding of existing procedures and standards to solve slightly complex problems.
- Ability to analyze possible solutions using technical experience to apply appropriate judgment and precedents.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.).
- Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.
