911 Dispatcher Trainee

No dispatching experience is necessary to apply for this position, as ECSO provides a paid training program to successfully hired candidates. The position is only open to residents of Jackson County, Oregon or those who can reliably commute from adjacent counties. ECSO cannot provide relocation assistance; and any job offer would be contingent upon passing all pre-hire assessments (medical screening, background investigation, etc.)

Please note:Keyboarding is an essential baseline skill for this position and is not taught in our training program. The minimum Keyboarding speed needed to pass this section of the skill test is
45 wpm
, after deductions for errors. All applicants will be given a skill test to measure Keyboarding speed, Data Entry speed, and other job related skills. The skill test must be passed to qualify for an interview.

Entry-level pay for trainees is $5,265 per month. Subsequent step increases are earned by years employed, per our labor agreement, up to the top step at 55 months of service. Currently, the top step pay is $6,720 per month.
