State-of-the-Art TechnologyThe department’s current technologies include two Elekta Linear accelerators with on-board imaging, CBCT, and VMAT capability. We currently offer IMRT/VMAT with image guidance, TBI, Electron Therapy, SBRT/ SRS with Gamma Knife Icon, and HDR brachytherapy using the Elekta Flexitron HDR treatment unit.
Exciting Future DevelopmentsWe plan to acquire two Varian linacs in 2025 and incorporate online adaptive radiation therapy to our existing technologies. With the establishment of the new Cancer Center Research Institute, we are working towards NCI status and building a state-of-the-art cancer center within the next five years, offering the opportunity to be part of a progressive institution.
Clinical, Teaching, and Research OpportunitiesAs a faculty member, you will have the opportunity to contribute to our tripartite mission. We have robust radiation oncology and medical physics residency programs. Clinical leadership opportunities and ample support and resources exist to pursue research initiatives.
Ideal CandidateQualifications: Must have completed an accredited radiation oncology residency training program. Board certification is preferred, but recent board-eligible graduates are welcome to apply.
