- Collaborate with teammates, giving and receiving feedback to strengthen instructional excellence.
- Build a strong, standards‑aligned Computer Science curriculum rooted in coding basics, problem‑solving, and robotics fundamentals.
- Ensure every scholar has access to grade‑level rigor through creative, joyful learning experiences.
- Facilitate dynamic whole‑class and small‑group instruction that sparks curiosity and deepens understanding.
- Adapt instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners and create an inclusive STEM environment.
- Contribute to a positive staff culture through collaboration, optimism, and shared ownership.
- Maintain consistency in routines, systems, and classroom management to create a strong learning environment.
- Reflect on the impact of your actions and elevate the collective success of the team.
- Build meaningful connections with scholars, families, and colleagues.
- Celebrate scholar progress and effort regularly, especially in coding and robotics challenges.
- Communicate proactively with families about achievements, growth areas, and ways to support learning at home.
All teachers must hold a Bachelor’s degree by the time employment begins.
Candidates Must Also Meet One Of The Following- A valid MS or TN teaching license with an endorsement in STEM, Computer Science, Technology Education, or a related field.
- A valid out‑of‑state teaching license transferable to MS or TN.
- Enrollment in a state‑accredited alternative certification program and successful completion of all required assessments within the last 5 years.
- Prior teaching experience in STEM, technology, computer science, or robotics.
- Experience working in low‑income communities or with diverse learners.
- Demonstrated success in improving academic outcomes or driving scholar engagement in STEM.
Placement:
Computer Science Teachers will teach foundational coding and robotics courses at the elementary or middle school level.
