QualificationsThe (Very Important) Fine Print
  • Qualifications/Certification

    • All teachers must hold a Bachelor’s degree upon employment.

    • Must meet certification requirements by start date, which can include:

      • Possession of a valid MS teaching license with Special Education endorsements.

      • Reciprocity from another state license.

      • Enrollment in an approved Alternative Certification Program and passing relevant exams.

  • Prior Experience

    • Highly preferred:
      Experience teaching Special Education, working in low-income communities, and improving academic outcomes for underserved scholars.

  • Placement:
    Support students with IEPs at Smilow Prep.

  • Compensation
