We are seeking a dependable and caring Teacher Assistant for Hinds County to support the lead teacher in providing a safe, positive, and engaging learning environment. The ideal candidate enjoys working with children, is patient and organized, and is committed to helping students learn and develop.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the lead teacher with daily classroom activities and lesson preparation.
- Provide individual and small-group support to students as needed.
- Help maintain a safe, clean, and organized classroom.
- Supervise students during classroom activities, meals, recess, and transitions.
- Assist with classroom management and encourage positive behavior.
- Prepare educational materials and classroom supplies.
- Monitor student progress and communicate observations to the lead teacher.
- Support students' social, emotional, and educational development.
- Follow school policies and health and safety procedures.
