Overview
Jackson, MS — HARDESTY & HANOVER CONSTRUCTION SERVICES, LLC offers a Structural Engineer role within our Gulf Region Team. We have over 138 years of experience delivering innovative engineering solutions across the country.
Responsibilities- Lead field inspections evaluating existing conditions and documenting findings.
- Develop inspection reports, field sketches in CAD, photo appendices, and recommendations.
- Operate inspection equipment (bucket trucks, access lifts).
- B.S. Degree in Civil Engineering.
- EI or PE registration.
- Three to five years designing transportation projects for State Agencies in the Southeast.
- FHWA/NHI Bridge Inspection Certification (preferred).
- Previous inspection experience of bridges, culverts, ancillary highway structures, and/or tunnels.
- Experience with FHWA Inventory and Element Level data collection.
- OSHA, SPRAT, or equivalent training (plus).
- Knowledge of current AASHTO design specifications, bridge standards, and structural computer models.
- Ability to develop CAD drawings in Microstation and AutoCAD.
- Strong project management, technical writing, and communication skills.
