Co-op Design Engineering (Spring 2027) – Eaton
Join Eaton’s Aerospace, Defense and Manufacturing (AER FMC) division as a Co‑op Design Engineering student for Spring 2027. The hourly rate is $22.15 – $27.69 per hour, a general guideline only. Salaries are based on candidate skills, experience, and market and business considerations.
What You’ll DoAssist design engineers by performing assignments related to the design and testing of aerospace and military vehicle hydraulic components and systems. The role includes cross‑functional interaction with manufacturing, quality, and procurement.
Potential Tasks- Perform standard engineering calculations to solve engineering and design problems.
- Participate in lab development tests by setting up test facilities, recording and analyzing standard test data, and preparing test data.
- Design and model test fixtures and components using Creo CAD.
- Compile engineering information to assist in the preparation of technical reports.
- Check and modify engineering drawings (machining, forging, casting, and assembly drawings).
Throughout the training cycle, this program provides participants with meaningful projects where individual efforts and contributions are critical. Participants receive multiple opportunities for training, networking, and assignment coaching in addition to ongoing feedback to evaluate personal progress and identify development opportunities.
Qualifications- Actively enrolled in or received a bachelor’s degree (preferably, Sophomore, Junior or Senior) in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering at an accredited institution.
- Minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 or higher.
- Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship now or in the future.
- All applicants must be U.S. persons within the meaning of ITAR. ITAR defines a U.S. person as a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident (Green Card Holder), Political Asylee, or Refugee.
