The Allied Health Educator plans and develops appropriate training, utilizing behavioral objectives, lesson plans, and testing methodology in order to ensure that the organization's personnel receive the necessary education in order to perform their duties.

• Provide introductory education and training to new employees.
• Develop continuing education to enhance the quality of care.
• Plan and coordinate training activities using adult learning principles.
• Develop and design behavioral objectives, lesson plans, teaching tools, training schedules, testing methodology, and evaluation tools.
• Develop self‑study modules for orientation and yearly competencies.
• Modify education programs based on evaluation data.
• Maintain documentation to support accreditation as a provider of continuing education.
• Develop and evaluate competency‑based performance criteria.
• Promote quality and efficiency through staying current with healthcare trends; participate in seminars, workshops, conferences, professional organizations.
• Promote effective communication among departments.
• Assist staff in identifying learning needs and planning activities.
• Perform other duties as assigned or requested.

• Experience:
  
  2 years clinical experience.
• Education:
  
  Bachelor's degree OR 4 years clinical experience;
  Registered Respiratory Therapist.
• Special
  
  Skills:
  
  Good oral & written communication, interpersonal, critical thinking, organizational, time management, public speaking; proficiency in Microsoft Office systems.
• Registered Respiratory Therapist qualification.
