Central Sterile Processing Technician

Position Overview

Manage and maintain all aspects of the sterilization process to ensure high-quality, timely sterile supplies for surgical procedures in an ambulatory surgery center setting.

Key Responsibilities

• Sterilization & Decontamination: Oversee all steps of the decontamination and sterilization process for surgical instruments and equipment.
• OR Support: Collaborate with the OR team to deliver sterile products on schedule and assist with room turnaround between procedures.
• Schedule Monitoring: Review daily surgery schedules to anticipate instrument and supply needs for upcoming cases.
• Compliance & Documentation: Maintain detailed equipment and sterilization records in accordance with healthcare regulations and standards.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Education: High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Experience: 2+ years of relevant sterile processing experience (hospital main OR experience preferred).

Certifications:

• BCLS required.
• Surgical Technologist certification preferred.
