Sr. Business Analyst / Project Manager (SNAP/TANF)
Location: Jackson, MS
Job Type: Contract (Long term)
- Experience: Project management and technical design/implementation of eligibility systems for SNAP/TANF.
- Background: System development supporting mid‑to‑large‑scale human services enterprise systems.
- Knowledge: USDA‑FNS guidelines, state government environment, DHS program areas and technical staff interactions.
- Oversight: Project life cycles and development release planning.
- Eligibility systems: Automated eligibility determination systems for SNAP, TANF eligibility, SNAP E&T, benefits, and benefit recovery.
- Mainframe CICS systems: Subject‑matter expertise and recommendations for enhancements.
- Documentation: Development, maintenance, and updating of policies, procedures, and processes.
- Business requirements: Work with customers to elicit requirements.
- Standards: Define and implement standards, new technical direction, and issue resolution and process refinement.
- Team leadership: Leading a development team.
- Policy knowledge: SNAP, TANF eligibility, economic assistance policies, state and federal mandates, and systems similar to MAVS.
- Systems: Interpreting, designing, and implementing federal and state mandates in Linux systems.
- Analytics: Advanced experience in data analytics using relational databases such as SQL Server.
- Operating systems: Working knowledge of Unix/Linux.
- Database: Experience with Microsoft SQL Server.
- SQL: Proficiency in writing SQL.
- Tools: Proficiency in JIRA and GILab.
- Certified Professional in Business Analysis
- Certified Agile Practitioner
