Detailed Description
This role is responsible for leading the team on the ground from a technical perspective. The candidate will oversee installation procedures, ensure expectations are met, and maintain consistency across deployments. They will act as the engineer's right-hand, handling troubleshooting and basic configuration, and will be responsible for project documentation, quality control of assets, and coordinating efforts on-site. The individual will prioritize service delivery to customers during pre- and post-implementation phases, working with ENG I/II technicians and providing feedback to supervisors to ensure standards are met.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Install, configure, support, monitor, test, optimize, and troubleshoot hardware and software in client networks with guidance from senior staff.
- Lead a team alongside a Network Services Supervisor, implementing network solutions for enterprise clients.
- Disseminate information efficiently pre- and post-deployment.
- Create status updates, issue logs, notes, and documentation.
- Coordinate technician responsibilities during deployments.
- Stage networking equipment during deployments.
- Resolve issues effectively, including safety, employee conflicts, and disciplinary actions.
- Demonstrate growth and independence.
- Conduct wireless surveys and develop migration, implementation, and risk mitigation plans.
- Support network standards, security, and compliance at client sites.
- Verify installation standards and client requirements.
- Maintain professionalism when dealing with clients.
- Assist with hardware/software implementation and troubleshoot issues with engineering support.
- Participate in project meetings and design discussions.
- Document deployments with photos and reports.
- Review and understand client design and implementation plans, providing feedback based on field experience.
- Ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget.

Skills and Experience
- Mid-level knowledge of core technology services and solutions design.
- Experience with Layer 1-3 network products and configurations.
- Knowledge of Data Center technologies related to network infrastructure.
- Understanding of network protocols and design theory.
- Ability to build predictive models and implement them in the field.
- 1-3 years of hands-on experience or equivalent education.
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma or higher education.
- Ability to pass a written exam administered by the Network Manager.
- Work towards career certifications during downtime.
