Job Summary:

• Design, develop, and implement business intelligence dashboards using efficient techniques, reusable code, and web services as applicable. This includes developing and maintaining dashboards and reports using Power BI, Tableau, and WebFOCUS.
• Actively participate in the implementation of documented reporting applications and improvement strategies, utilizing tools such as Power BI, Tableau, and WebFOCUS to meet evolving business needs.
• Report problems to software vendors, provide requested documentation, and track problems to resolution. Develop and monitor procedures for the WebFOCUS server environment proactively for any issues and address access and performance issues across reporting platforms including Power BI and Tableau.
• Analyze requested reporting requirements and propose effective and flexible solutions; develop alternative solutions, as appropriate, and review with the Manager and Information team. Provide support and insight for both Power BI and Tableau dashboard designs and analytics strategies.
• Develop logic charts, record formats, Metadata, and detailed technical programming specs. Coordinate the creation or modification of database queries with the DBAs as required. Prepare documentation in compliance with department standards. Use efficient programming and coding techniques to develop/maintain self-service reporting applications that are flexible and scalable. Develop/create data sources to connect to databases for efficient data retrieval across Power BI, Tableau, and WebFOCUS.
  
  Develop test cases and scripts, execute test plans, and evaluate results.
• Troubleshoot user technical problems and ensure quick resolution with proper documentation; analyze and resolve testing issues and production problems as reported in the problem tracking system for all supported platforms, including Power BI and Tableau.
• Develop and enforce coding standards and conventions; review business objectives and requirements with the Manager/business analysts; provide input on alternative solutions using the most appropriate BI tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or WebFOCUS.
• Prepare prototypes of screens and reports for common understanding and agreement. Assist in training users on new and modified reporting applications, including effective use of Power BI and Tableau features.

Requirements:

• B.S. or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer/Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Mathematics, or a related field
• 5 years' experience in a Reports Developer role, with five years’ concurrent experience with FOCUS, WebFOCUS, Reporting Server (iWay/EDA), and SQL
• Experience with Power BI and Tableau, including the development, deployment, and maintenance of dashboards, datasets, and analytics solutions
