Job Summary:

Manages the daily operations of Patient Transport Services, including staff supervision, scheduling, equipment management, productivity, and customer service. Ensures timely patient transportation and compliance with quality, safety, operational, and financial standards. Develops and implements best practices to optimize service delivery based on patient volume and organizational needs.

Strong leadership, organizational, communication, problem-solving, and time management skills. Knowledge of healthcare operations, scheduling, productivity management, customer service, and financial practices.

Responsibilities:

• Oversees daily operations of Patient Transport Services, ensuring efficient and timely transportation of patients throughout the facility.
• Supervises transportation supervisors and staff, including staffing, scheduling, performance management, and workflow coordination.
• Manages staffing, productivity, and operational performance based on patient volume, established metrics, benchmarks, and best practices.
• Oversees the maintenance, availability, and appropriate use of transportation equipment.
• Monitors operational reports and financial performance and participates in budget planning and management.
• Develops and implements processes to improve operational efficiency, service quality, patient safety, and customer satisfaction.
• Collaborates with departments throughout the facility to coordinate patient transport needs and support an efficient continuum of care.
• Ensures compliance with organizational policies, procedures, and safety standards.
