Job Summary:

This position is responsible for internal and external communications (including internal and public-facing website content and social media), media relations and events support. The person in this position determines content topics, coordinates with others to obtain information, writes, edits and sends to internal and external audiences and produces press releases, announcements and photographs, as needed.## Education & Experience

Required:

** Bachelor's degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing or Public Relations and two (2) years experience in a successful development and execution of public relations and communications activities.

** This position requires a fully competent and productive professional contributor who applies acquired job skills to complete substantive assignments/projects/tasks of moderate scope and complexity. This includes communicating procedures and complex concepts to a wide variety of skill and interest levels. This position works independently with general supervision; exercises judgment within defined guidelines.

Excellent writing skills, grammar and proofreading skills, effective communication both verbally and written, experience with social media planning and execution, and excellent organizational skills and superior attention to detail.
