Registered Nurse 2-Labor and Delivery (DAYS)

Join FMOL Health as a Registered Nurse 2-Labor and Delivery (DAYS). Coordinate patient care using the health care team philosophy practice model. Deliver patient teaching, discharge planning, and collaborate with ancillary departments. Maintain department and hospital standards.

• Perform nursing functions on the unit: planning, organizing, directing care; implementing patient care plan; making assignments; administering medications and intravenous solutions; maintaining accurate documentation; arranging supplies; participating in safety programs; supporting infection-control; participating in orientation and in-service training; implementing hospital safety programs; participating in performance improvement plans; assisting in policy revision; respecting patient privacy; being prompt and efficient; cooperating with nursing staff and other departments.
• Physical demands: prolonged standing, walking, sitting; lifting up to 50 pounds; transferring and repositioning patients; reaching, stooping, bending, kneeing, crouching; manual dexterity; ability to work in fast-paced environment; pass required health screening; exposure to blood, body fluids, hazardous chemicals.

• Experience:
  
  Two years Labor and Delivery experience.
• Education:
  
  Graduate of accredited nursing school.
• Skills:
  
  Recognize patient needs; good judgment; oral and written communication; function in stressful situations; current CPR review; willing to rotate shifts, days off, overtime.
• Licensure:
  Current Mississippi State RN license and BLS certification.
