• Construct, Build and Maintain OH/UG Electric Facilities with primary voltages up to 34.5KV
• Installation, removal and maintenance of OH/UG primary line facilities and secondary services
• Installation of OH/UG transformers and wiring of all types of transformer banks
• Installation of regulators, capacitors and reclosers
• Operation of various pieces of equipment including Aerial Bucket and Digger Derrick Trucks
• Read and understand job prints and sketches
• Recognize materials and their function
• Setting and climbing of all sizes of poles in open areas, rear alleys and in energized lines
• Be available for on call duty and emergency response

• Required to have or be able to obtain a Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Ability to use physical strength to perform required tasks in all weather conditions
• Ability to work irregular hours and out of town assignments as required
• Good communication skills
• Ability to take and understand directives and complete tasks with limited supervision
• Ability to plan and lay out all work in a safe and efficient manner
• Ability to assume a lead role and direct the work of other linemen
• Required to work safely and follow all Entergy safety policies and procedures
• Ability to learn through classroom instruction, OJT and repetitive motions
• Ability to climb and work off of poles of various heights
• Ability to recognize hazards in the workplace and mitigate them
• Ability to maintain and care for Company equipment properly and safeguard assets
• Ability to meet the public in a pleasant and tactful manner and understand the importance of delivering a high level of customer service
• Ability to recognize opportunities for process improvement
• Demonstrated acceptance of a diverse and inclusive work environment and customer base

• Traverse uneven terrain with tools weighing up to fifty pounds
• Work in extreme weather, including extreme heat and cold
• Work in confined spaces
• Perform physical tasks including digging, pulling, pushing, carrying and lifting up to 80 pounds
• Maintain a valid Class A Commercial Driver’s License
• Safely operate trucks and heavy equipment around energized lines and equipment
• Work at heights for extended periods of time and perform overhead work from a bucket truck
• Climb up and descend from structures, poles and ladders with balance and strength
• Perform emergency rescue operations
• Understand and follow safety rules and use personal protection equipment
• Work up to 16 continuous hours per day
• Perform basic computer tasks such as entering time worked, checking emails and completing training
• Communicate effectively and interact with a team
• Manage stress and handle tense situations
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance and work overtime when necessary
