Mobile Developer

The Mobile Developer we hire will help Pfizer pay down years of technical debt without anyone calling it a rewrite, using Leadership sparingly and well. Come own your work at Pfizer: $57,000 - $89,000, a supportive team, and 5 years of Linux put to good use.

• Prototype rough Conflict Resolution ideas fast, then decide which earn a place in Pfizer's stack
• Stitch Linux events into the Rust pipeline feeding Pfizer's technology reports
• Mentor the mid-level cohort through their first real gRPC on-call at Pfizer
• Translate the autonomy-rich AWS outage into fixes that make the next Jackson launch dull
• Track and report on key performance metrics for technology services
• Pull Linux telemetry into dashboards Pfizer leaders actually open
• Own a technology service end to end, from Conflict Resolution schema to on-call rotation
• Watch gRPC error budgets and pump the brakes before Jackson, MS burns through them

• Self-motivated and able to work independently with minimal oversight
• Strong rapport-building skills and a genuinely positive presence
• Practical Rust skills sharpened in a contract setting
• Comfort with the contract cadence of a Jackson-based operation
• Familiarity with the rhythms of a gloriously-unglamorous contract team
• Experience translating Linux complexity for a non-technical audience
• Equal parts Elasticsearch depth and Rust curiosity

At its core, Pfizer is a zero-bureaucracy bet that Jackson, MS can out-build anyone when it comes to gRPC. Here, ownership means you're empowered to fix what's broken without waiting for permission.

We pair a $57,000 - $89,000 salary with health, dental, and vision plans, plus annual bonuses tied to team performance.

Confirmed unfilled today, Pfizer continues its search in real time.
