Overview

As a Pilot, you will provide a superior air transportation experience, maintaining an exemplary safety record on every flight. You will be the face of Net Jets, delivering safe, technically accurate flight operations while offering an exceptional, concierge-level service to Net Jets Owners and passengers.

Purpose of Position

The Pilot is responsible for ensuring a safe and seamless travel experience from taxi to landing, acting as the ultimate authority on aircraft operations and providing professional service to passengers throughout the flight.

Tasks & Responsibilities
  • Operate the aircraft safely from taxi, take‑off, and landing per FAA guidelines, OEM checklists, Net Jets Flight Operations Manual, and Standard Operating Practices.
  • Greet Owners/passengers pre‑flight, brief them on itinerary, provide weather updates, and conduct safety briefings.
  • Deliver in‑flight service, including handling of alcohol and catering.
  • Load and stow all baggage appropriately on the aircraft.
  • Handle flights for Owners with pets and those who smoke.
  • Serve as the final authority on all operating aspects of the aircraft, ensuring compliance with safety and regulatory guidance.
  • Act as liaison between Owners/passengers and Net Jets from arrival at the FBO through final destination.
  • Communicate and document any maintenance abnormalities or discrepancies via the Maintenance Control Center.
  • Complete necessary paperwork related to maintenance issues.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned based on operational needs.

Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other (KSAOs)
  • FAA ATP, Restricted ATP, or equivalent with multi‑engine rating (21+ years of age).
  • At least 1,500 flight hours total, or 1,250 with R‑ATP, or 1,000 with military or university R‑ATP.
  • 200 hours cross‑country flight time (>50 nm).
  • 250 hours fixed‑wing PIC.
  • 100 hours of night flying (or 75 hours with ≥45 night takeoffs/landings).
  • 75 hours of instrument time (actual or simulated).
  • 40‑hour aviation ground school, including FAA written exams completed prior to indoctrination.
  • 50 hours fixed‑wing, multi‑engine time.
  • Current FAA First‑Class Medical certificate.
  • FCC Restricted Radio Operator’s Permit.
  • Valid passport and authorization to work in the U.S. with unrestricted international travel.
  • Ability to work varying hours, including days, nights, weekends, and holidays.
  • Flexibility to adapt to rapid changes and manage rest to remain flight‑ready.
  • Capacity to handle duty periods up to fourteen hours per day for up to eight days, spanning multiple time zones and varying weather.
  • Experience operating while away from home for seven or more days, often in hotel accommodations.
  • Secure airport authority and U.S. Customs security badges as required.
  • Pass TSA background screening and maintain security clearances.
  • Valid U.S. passport for international travel.
  • Valid state driver’s license.
  • Fluency in English (reading, writing, speaking).
  • Service‑oriented demeanor, neat appearance, and ability to make a positive impression on passengers.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills, especially under pressure.
  • Strong attention to detail in both technical and customer‑service contexts.
  • Physical strength to exert up to 50 lb of force occasionally, 30 lb frequently, and 10 lb constantly for moving objects.
  • Ability to work with animals, including handling and care before, during, and after flights.
  • Capability to conduct flights for Owners who smoke.
Base Salary Range

$86,015 – $117,706
