Design the systems communities run onYou’ll step into a visible civil engineering role where your designs directly support cities, rural districts, and the people who live there.
From wastewater to municipal water and stormwater, you’ll guide projects from concept through design as a self-motivated project manager/design engineer.
Your work will keep taps running, treatment systems compliant, and neighborhoods protected from flooding.
If you know civil design and want real responsibility on day one, we want to talk to you.
What You’ll Work OnYou’ll tackle a variety of public infrastructure and site-related civil projects, including:
- Wastewater collection and treatment systems
- Small wastewater treatment system design
- Municipal water distribution systems
- Stormwater management systems
- Site layouts and grading tied to water and wastewater work
- Survey and coordinate geometry-based design tasks
- Field-related civil engineering support as needed
You’ll be using AutoCAD every day, along with Civil 3D or similar civil design software, plus MS Word and Excel to support your work.
This is hands‑on design work with real‑world consequences for the communities you serve.
What You’ll Be Doing- Design wastewater and water systems for municipal and rural clients
- Develop plans for small wastewater treatment systems
- Design municipal water and rural water district distribution systems
- Prepare stormwater management designs and supporting documentation
- Produce detailed drawings and plans using AutoCAD
- Apply AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar tools for civil site and utility design
- Use surveying data and coordinate geometry in your designs
- Prepare technical documents and reports using MS Word
- Compile calculations, quantities, and data in MS Excel
- Work outside when required to support project and field needs
- BS in Civil Engineering
- PE or EIT
- Experience in civil engineering design projects
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD (required)
- Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D or similar civil software
- Knowledge of surveying and coordinate geometry
- Ability to use MS Word and MS Excel

You’re a civil engineer who has already designed water, wastewater, or stormwater systems and is comfortable taking ownership of real project work. You move confidently between CAD, plans, and field realities, and you can see a project through with minimal hand‑holding.
If you’ve supported municipal or rural water districts, worked in a multi‑disciplinary environment, and can step into a project manager/design engineer role with strong AutoCAD skills, you’ll stand out here.
Why This Opportunity?Join an established multi‑disciplinary firm where civil work is core to the business, not an afterthought.
You’ll step into an immediate opening with real project responsibility and the chance to grow your design and project management skills.
On top of the work, you’ll receive competitive wages based on your experience, paid vacation and holidays, comprehensive medical benefits (including vision), and an employer‑matched retirement plan.
