Schedule: Monday-Friday, Day Shift

Base Pay: $18.00/hour

• Two years of college and two years of experience working with mental health or child populations; or
• Associate’s degree and two years of experience working with mental health or child populations; or
• Bachelor’s Degree – open to any degree
• Must hold or obtain by start date a MO Class E Driver’s License (Class D for IL Residents) and proof of continuous auto insurance. Must also meet CCC’s Motor Vehicle Record standards policy and have reliable transportation.

The Youth Day Treatment program provides services to youth in grades 3‑12 who require a step‑down or an alternative to inpatient care or partial hospitalization, or as transitional care following an inpatient or partial hospitalization stay in order to facilitate return to the community or to prevent or minimize the need for more intense or restrictive level of treatment. The Day Treatment Program provides services that are more intensive than outpatient treatment and serves persons who need a structured, behavioral health setting for daytime activities.

As a YDT Specialist, you will provide interventions to children in the Day Treatment Program to help them remain in the school, community, and home. You will work with the children to teach skills such as communication, de‑escalation, behavior management, coping techniques, and more. The work can involve escalations, but it is rewarding to see clients meet treatment goals and transition back into regular school settings.

• Attend to the needs of and provide assistance to children during Day Treatment activities and within the community, under the direction of the Day Treatment Manager.
• Provide feedback regarding behavior, skills, and peer interactions during Treatment Team Meetings.
• Teach skills and model appropriate pro‑social interactions.
• Provide complete and timely documentation as per policy and procedures.
• Attend to the needs of children through phone calls to parents related to pick‑up times.
• Work with an integrated treatment team, including case managers, psychiatrists, and school administrative staff to provide consistent care.

Staff must have proof of continuous auto insurance, must possess a MO Class E license, and successfully complete the required CPR/First Aid and Pro‑ACT Training.
