Job Overview We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Dental Assistant to join our dynamic dental practice. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care while assisting the dentist in various procedures. This position requires a strong understanding of dental practices, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
Assist the dentist during examinations and procedures, ensuring a smooth workflow.
Prepare and sterilize instruments and equipment following strict infection control protocols.
Take and develop dental radiographs (X-rays) as needed.
Maintain accurate patient records and assist with scheduling appointments.
Educate patients on oral hygiene and post-operative care.
Support the front office with basic receptionist duties when required.
Ensure the treatment area is clean, organized, and well-stocked with necessary supplies.
Collaborate with the dental team to provide exceptional patient care.
Requirements
Knowledge of infection control procedures in a dental setting.
Familiarity with general dentistry practices and terminology.
Understanding of human anatomy as it relates to dental health.
Experience as a dental receptionist is a plus.
Background in pediatric dentistry is desirable but not mandatory.
Proficiency in assisting with four-handed dentistry techniques.
Knowledge of prosthodontics and medical imaging processes is beneficial.
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with patients and team members.

Expected hours: 34 – 40 per week
