Base pay: $13.40/hr – $13.40/hr hours:
Approximately 25‑30 per week. Seasonal (May‑August 2026).

Locations:
Alliance, Canton City, Jackson, Lake (Hartville), Louisville, North Canton, and Plain Township.

The YMCA of Central Stark County is an inclusive, nonprofit organization dedicated to strengthening community through youth development, healthy living, and social responsibility. Our Day Camp programs serve over 750 children daily across seven locations. Camps are located in YMCA branches, school buildings, and standalone centers, with 50‑70% of programming outdoors.

Summer Day Camp Counselors who are excited about building community with youth, thrive in a youth-centered environment, and serve as professional role models and adventure guides for campers in grades K‑8.

• Engaged – Actively participate in activities such as arts & crafts, STEM, nature hikes, sports, songs, and enrichment experiences.

• At least 17 years old and a high school graduate (or equivalent) by May 26, 2026.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Available May through August 2026 (training and work dates vary by location).
• Prior experience working with children (e.g., camp, childcare, tutoring, or coaching) preferred.
• Energetic, flexible, and eager to create and promote fun every day.
