Responsibilities- Live our purpose by following all company SOPs at each workstation to help our Pharmacists manage and improve patient health
- Follow pharmacy workflow procedures at each pharmacy workstation (production, pick‑up, drive‑thru, drop‑off) for safe and accurate prescription fulfillment
- Contribute to positive patient experiences by showing empathy and genuine care—creating heartfelt and personalized moments while serving patients at pick‑up, drive‑thru, and over the phone; offering immunizations and other services; and demonstrating compassionate care by solving or escalating patient problems
- Complete basic inventory activities, as permitted by law, including putting away medication deliveries, cycle counts, returns‑to‑stocks, waiting‑bin inventories, etc.
- Contribute to a high‑performing team, embrace a growth mindset, reap feedback, and seek opportunities to expand clinical and technical knowledge
- Remain flexible for scheduling and business needs, including traveling to stores in the market as required by the business
- Understand and comply with all federal, state, local laws, regulations, professional standards, and ethical principles; comply with CVS policies to ensure patient safety, controlled‑substance dispensing, recordkeeping, and protection of patient privacy and security
- Deliver additional patient health care services (immunizations, point‑of‑care testing, and voluntarily staffing offsite clinics) where allowable by law and supported by training and certification
- Complete additional licensure and training requirements, in compliance with state Board of Pharmacy regulations, to obtain Technician Immunizer status to prepare and administer vaccines
- Educate patients about the importance of vaccines and refer patients to the Pharmacist‑on‑duty for vaccination questions
- Monitor for and respond to adverse reactions; report adverse reaction events per public health requirements
- Review and collect patient information; track and document for each applicable patient
- Monitor and manage vaccine supplies
- Comply with any state board of pharmacy requirements or laws governing the practice of pharmacy, including age, education, and licensure/certification
- State‑level licensure and national certification requirements vary by state
- Must be at least 16 years of age unless a minimum age is specified by the state board of pharmacy
- Must have a high school diploma or equivalent, or be actively enrolled in high school or a high school equivalency program unless a minimum educational requirement is specified by the state board of pharmacy
- Regular and predictable attendance, including nights and weekends
- Ability to complete required training within designated timeframe
- Attention and focus: concentrate on tasks, pivot quickly between tasks, confirm prescription information and label accuracy for patient safety
- Customer Service and Team Orientation: look for ways to help people, respond appropriately to patients’ reactions
