Registered Medical Assistant – Community Action Committee of Pike County

As a primary care nurse, you will serve in one of the many integral roles of a diverse patient care team. The Registered Medical Assistant is responsible for ensuring a positive patient experience; through providing excellent patient care and effective communication in an office setting.
Purpose of Registered Medical Assistant position is to positively impact patient's well-being in collaboration with the health care team.
- Prepare Pre-Visit Planning (PVP) for assigned provider and primary care team
- Review and ensure PVP is completed each morning
- Arrives timely, pleasant demeanor, positive attitude, and team oriented
- Complete Prior Authorizations for assigned Primary Care Team as assigned by lead nurse or Clinical Services Manager
- Follow up with patients regarding status of Prior Authorizations
- Will provide excellent direct patient care
- Will complete clinic workflows as designed
- Collaborate with assigned provider as necessary to ensure quality patient care
- Complete daily tasks as assigned
- Provide immunizations as ordered
- Complete patient point of care testing as ordered
- Complete all EHR documentation in an accurate and timely manner
- Will maintain a safe work environment and adhere to all compliance and safety policies and procedures
- Complete assigned tasks as directed by Clinical Services Manager or Director of Nursing and Clinical Operations
- Attends meeting, conferences, and/or trainings
- High School Diploma or equivalent
- Job-Related
Experience:
experience in office/primary care setting
- Registered Medical Assistant, CPR
- 1-3 years primary care experience
Primary work conditions are indoors in climate-controlled setting in an office like environment. The employee is regularly to sit; use hand to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; and talk and hear. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must regularly lift and /or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
