Responsibilities

• Comply with all local, state, and federal regulations; report illegal activities such as robbery, theft, or fraud.
• Follow and enforce food safety, sanitation, and safety guidelines according to regulations; identify and report unsafe conditions.
• Manage ordering functions with primary and secondary wholesalers.
• Follow company policies on inventory management, control, and ordering of medications, devices, and supplies.
• Maintain clean and organized work stations and customer areas.
• Count, measure, and prepare products following best practices.
• Complete billing procedures accurately to ensure value for both customer and company.
• Answer phones, triage calls, and respond to inquiries appropriately.
• Adhere to guidelines on accepting vendor coupons, cash shortages, and shrinkage policies.
• Operate cash register following all policies, handling electronic transactions securely.
• Provide excellent customer service while accurately completing reception, data entry, adjudication, and dispensing tasks.
• Assist the pharmacist with responsibilities that do not require professional judgment.
• Follow HIPAA regulations and company policies regarding patient confidentiality.
• Support health and wellness initiatives of the company.
• Manage legend orders and Central Fill deliveries.
• Work effectively in high-paced, stressful environments.
• Handle conflicts professionally and cooperatively.
• Act with honesty and integrity regarding customer and business information.
• Follow directions and seek help when needed to resolve issues.
• Interact supportively with minors, individuals with special needs, and older adults.
• Perform essential job functions with or without reasonable accommodations.

Qualifications

Minimum

• High School Diploma or GED
• Must be 18 years old
• Ability to handle confidential information
• Meet state requirements for the role

Desired

• Previous relevant experience
• Experience as a pharmacy clerk
• Familiarity with EPRN
