The Director of Security provides the security team's administrative leadership in planning, implementing, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating school safety and security programs for University School of Jackson. Inherent in the position are the responsibilities for planning, program evaluation, education of employees, the safety of students, parents, and visitors to campus, and the overall security of USJ. The Director of Security works collaboratively to lead and nurture employees of USJ and to communicate effectively with parents, members of the community, and colleagues in other schools.

Ability to manage safety and security budgets. Proficient in using a computer, organization software, and other office equipment, security systems, data, etc. Ability to compose correspondence and demonstrate strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills. A calm, structured, and positive learning environment is a top priority for the school, and the security team plays a critical role in the school’s culture and climate.

The role of the director is physically demanding as one would serve as the first line of defense to defuse potential serious incidents and require an immediate response.

The Infant and Toddler Teacher is responsible for the direct care and supervision of infant and toddler children in the USJ Early Childhood Education Program.
