The Coordinator for Academic Affairs supports the Director for Institutional Effectiveness and the Office of the Provost by coordinating systems, processes, and events related to assessment, accreditation, research, and reporting. This position also provides general coordination and support for events sponsored by the Office of the Provost.

Other Job Duties
- Provide ongoing support and coordination for the university’s annual cycle of assessment, which includes creating and updating training materials, sending email reminders, and coordinating training events.
- Support the assessment and credentialing management system by maintaining user access, generating reports, and updating fields, templates, and system records.
- In collaboration with the Office of Student Life, coordinate the university’s biannual assessment days. Assist the Director with survey administration.
- Facilitate the course evaluation process, which includes managing and updating the course evaluation tool and administering evaluations for all courses offered each term.
- Maintain the university’s external reporting calendar and obligations, coordinating with internal departments to collect and report data by established deadlines.
- Collaborate with the Information Technology team to develop and produce an annual institutional data factbook.
- Coordinate the NC- SARA (National Council for State Authorization Reciprocity Agreements) annual renewal process and, in collaboration with the colleges/schools, ensure professional licensure disclosures and student attestations are updated on the website.
- Assist the Director with institutional accreditation visits, reporting, and policy/procedure review and development.
- Collaborate with the Office of University Communications to maintain the Consumer Information and accreditation/affiliations webpages.
- Facilitate the distribution of IRB and curriculum proposals, in consultation with the leaders of those areas.
- Coordinate the Union University Scholarship Symposium and Fall Poster Session sponsored by the Office of the Provost.
- Distribute excused absence notifications for approved university functions.
- Other duties as assigned by the Director for Institutional Effectiveness or the Provost.
Required Qualifications
Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor’s degree is required.
Preferred Qualifications
Preference may be given to applicants with administrative experience in higher education, project management experience, and/or experience with higher education assessment and accreditation.
Successful candidates must be professing Christians who are active members of a local church, who enthusiastically support Union University’s Identity, Mission and Core Values, Faith Statement, and who articulate a Christian worldview in their work and life.
