Manufacturing Engineer – Powertrain Casting

Client’s Powertrain Casting Engineering Department is looking for a passionate and highly motivated Manufacturing Engineer to support the Bodine Aluminium, Jackson, TN location.

• Manage Projects: existing vehicle powertrain and BEV development, including pre‑production preparation of casting products, planning, budget development, equipment procurement, installation, and casting trials leading to SOP.
• Manage Processes: study TMC based processes, develop unique NA Operation Drawings, shikumi development, hoshin goals, build and manage problem list, and apply TBP problem‑solving methods.
• Lead / Manage Team Members: lead a project group during the pre‑production phase, schedule meetings, lead contractors, review materials, and gain consensus.

• BS (or above) in Engineering or equivalent;
  Mechanical Eng, Metallurgical Eng, Electrical Eng.
• 3+ years of Production Preparation and/or Manufacturing Experience.
• 1+ years of major model change experience impacting part quality and manufacturability.
• 1+ years as a project leader responsible for working‑group coordination and milestone management.

• 3+ years of Casting or Metals‑related manufacturing engineering experience.
• 1+ year of High‑Pressure Die Casting Experience.
• 1+ year of direct working experience with NC machining.
• 1+ year of working knowledge with Fanuc Robot and Toyopuc PLC.
• 1+ year of experience with 2D/3D CAD systems for equipment layout and part/die modelling.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Creo or other 2D/3D programs.
• Programming and troubleshooting industrial PLC platforms.
• Experience preparing documentation, presenting, and gaining approval for capital projects and cost‑justification proposals.
• Successful completion of JKK and TBP.
• Experience leading TEMA PE Projects with budgets exceeding $5M.
• 1+ CLIENT project cycles from Planning to SOP.
