Inventory Control Manager Overview
The Manager Inventory Control leads the inventory control team in Jackson, handling all policy/procedures as it relates to inventory control and is the point of contact for all reporting and reconciliation to the finance team, internal and external auditors.
Responsibilities- Oversee omnichannel inventory control team onsite in Jackson, TN.
- Monitors inventory for organization and supervises efficient working of staff according to company policies and prepares accurate records for all physical inventory.
- Provides training to inventory and finance team and monitors all special requests and assists to minimize cost in inventory for efficient write off.
- Develops and maintains excellent working conditions and facilitates effective team performance.
- Monitors all operational procedures and prepares strategic plans to ensure adherence to all departmental standards and objectives.
- Coordinates with cross functional teams to identify obsolete inventory and count discrepancies.
- Performs tests on WMS and recommends improvements to procedure and prepares appropriate reports for all inventory requirements.
- Develops and maintains close working relationships with other departments to ensure cohesiveness within the DC.
- Executes daily inventory analysis; identifies and resolves discrepancies and problems.
- Demonstrates a commitment to Kirkland’s Values.
- Must be able to work under minimal direct supervision and be willing to take initiative to resolve problems and to help revise and upgrade processes.
- 5+ year’s related experience (warehousing, supply chain, inventory control).
- 3+ year’s supervisory experience.
- Bachelor’s degree in business, logistics, systems engineering, supply chain management preferred or equivalent practical experience.
- Leadership and management.
- Verbal and written communication.
- Organizational and logistics skills.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Problem solving & proactive critical thinking.
- Highly proficient in excel and PowerPoint.
- Collaborative.
- Ability to work at a computer for extended periods of time.
