MAT Industries, LLC in Jackson TN has an immediate opening for a CMM Programmer/Operator. The following responsibilities and qualifications outline the essential duties and requirements.
Job Responsibilities- Determine part inspection requirements from internal or customer drawings.
- Create or edit programs for the coordinate measuring machine (CMM).
- Utilize the programs to complete dimensional inspection using the CMM.
- Utilize GD&T to complete detailed part inspection.
- Ensure the part inspection programs are consistent with part number and revision level.
- Complete PPAP and dimensional reports.
- Conduct finished product inspections with hand gauges and measurement systems.
- Inspect first piece of work order parts for correctness.
- Perform inspections on incoming goods as required.
- Log and maintain inspection data as needed for evaluating and reporting.
- Maintain calibration system and conduct calibrations as needed.
- Prior experience using MCOSMOS software systems or equivalent.
- Ability to read blueprints and gauges.
- Ability to use precision measuring instruments.
- Proficiency in shop math, correct offsets, and adjust tooling.
- Willingness to cross train on CNC equipment and other production areas.
- Willingness to work overtime with short notice.
- Proven record of attendance.
- Ability to hear accurately the spoken word with moderate office noise or plant noise.
- Ability to comprehend and follow instructions.
- Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to a given workload.
- Ability to follow work rules and company policies.
- Ability to meet deadlines.
- Ability to relate to others beyond giving and receiving instructions.
- Ability to make generalizations, evaluations or decisions without immediate supervision.
- Maintain confidentiality of certain information.
