You will work with a broad range of talented individuals delivering quality products in a timely manner at our Young Touchstone business unit. You’ll partner with professionals across multiple departments and work alongside other Operators and Welders. As a member of the Heat Transfer & Energy Solutions team, you will be responsible for providing services and support to internal and external customers and suppliers to ensure materials, processes and products meet or exceed specifications.
This position is based at our Jackson, TN location and reports directly to the area Supervisor.
As a Production Operator, you will follow specified work instructions and/or engineering parts drawings to assemble a wide variety of products. You will be responsible for the quality of your work, and meeting production standards. You will continually look for ways to improve our production processes and make Safety your #1 priority every day.
What will your typical day look like?- Assemble or disassemble on a production line. You may be asked to assist or train in multiple work cells.
- Follow specified work instructions to assemble and test as required.
- Follow applicable procedures
- Keep work area clean and in order
- Follow all company Safety procedures and guidelines
- Report malfunction of equipment and process deviations to appropriate personnel.
- You may also be asked to perform other duties outside of your function or trade, for which adequate training will be provided if necessary.
Do you have the following required skills and education?
- High School Graduate or GED.
- 1+ years of welding experience in a manufacturing/industrial environment.
- Ability to read and comprehend industrial blueprints.
- Must possess the ability to use tools and equipment that are needed to perform the assembly operations in an industrial setting.
- Must have good listening and communication skills.
- Able to work well with others and to be a good team player.

- Frequent standing, walking, handling, reaching outward, lifting 15lbs or less.
- Occasionally sitting, squatting/kneeling, bending, lifting to 50lbs or more, exposure to cold/heat/humidity, loud noises, and dust or vapors within OSHA limits.
- Vision abilities include close and distance vision, color distinction, and observe small handwriting, labels, and components.
- Employees are always required to wear all personal protective equipment (PPE) as required by the facility including steel-toed shoes, safety glasses, and ear plugs.
- Employees will be working in the typical conditions of a manufacturing environment including seasonal variation in temperatures
