American Traveler is hiring a Med/Surg Oncology RN for a night shift position requiring Epic experience and a compact or TN RN license.

• Medical Surgical Oncology unit within a hospital setting
• Night shift schedule, 3x12 hours (18:45-7:15)
• Patient ratio of 1:5
• Must be willing to float to other Med Surg/Tele units
• Uses Epic charting system

• Active compact or TN RN license required
• Minimum 2 years of experience required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Epic experience within the last 18 months required and must be clearly documented on profile
• Must pass Epic competency exam onsite (only one attempt allowed)
• Travel experience preferred
• Teaching hospital and community hospital experience preferred
• Experience with IV therapy, central/peripheral line care, and blood product administration
• Oncology experience including chemotherapy monitoring; chemotherapy administration preferred
• Respiratory skills including BiPAP/CPAP management and tracheostomy care
• Experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation and management
• Experience with isolation precautions/PPE and wound care/wound vac
• Two supervisory references required for consideration
• SSN and DOB required for consideration
• Must disclose all RTO at time of consideration, no additional RTO accommodated afterward
• Candidates requiring respirator fit testing must be clean-shaven

• Provide direct patient care to oncology and medical surgical patients
• Responsibilities may include monitoring chemotherapy administration and managing central/peripheral lines
• Participate in cardiac monitoring and response to dysrhythmias and rapid response situations
• Orientations held every Monday
• Local candidates accepted at the same rate
• No block scheduling or special schedule requests accommodated
• Floating expected unless otherwise specified
• Return travelers must be indicated at time of consideration for staffing approval
