Each day at Taziki’s is a little different – part of what keeps it exciting! You might have an opening shift or a closing shift. For an opening shift, mornings are spent helping your prep crew ready the store for lunch service and preparing catering orders for guests, keeping a close eye on food safety practices and recipe perfection. During the afternoon, you’ll juggle helping on the line while preparing for dinner.
In a PM shift, you’ll help the team push through busy online ordering hours and serve dine‑in guests. As the shift winds down, you’ll use evening counts to prep tomorrow’s orders for the next AM team.
- Serve guests and make meaningful connections
- Perform opening and closing tasks
- Take responsibility for the restaurant when a manager is not present
- Set the tone for the shift and give clear, calm directions to your team
- Master menu and product knowledge
- Support or work stations when needed (kitchen included)
- Pre‑prep food and perform side work
- Follow proper cash handling and payment procedures
- Maintain Health Department Standards throughout each shift
- Follow proper alcohol handling policies and procedures
- Ensure proper food handling and storage of products
- Maintain proper hygiene, uniform, and appearance
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Prior food service experience preferred
- Strong leadership, guest service, and verbal communication skills
- Ability to thrive in a fast‑paced environment, balancing multiple tasks and priorities
- Follow instructions and adhere to the policies and procedures
- Energetic, ready to learn, and loves fresh food
- Work flexible schedule
- Dependable, reliable, and trustworthy
- Obtain a Food Manager’s certification shortly after beginning employment
- Understand and abide by all company standards and policies (provided in the handbook)

A typical work day at Taziki’s may look like:
- Morning shift – 7 am to 4 pm
- Evenings – 4 pm to 10 pm
- Weekends – when applicable
- Holidays – when applicable (CLOSED Thanksgiving & Christmas)
Hours will vary by store. You may work in a typical restaurant kitchen environment that includes but is not limited to using equipment such as a flattop and char grill, oven, slicer, mixer, and food processor.
Physical Requirements- Walking/standing for extended periods
- Reaching, bending, twisting
- Lifting/carrying up to 30 pounds
- Wiping and cooking activities
