They are empowered to make shopping quick and easy for guests at the check lanes, guest services, gift registry, pick-up and drive up while ensuring exceptional quality.
- Demonstrate a service culture that prioritizes the guest service experience by delivering the service standard
- Create a welcoming experience by greeting guests while completing daily tasks
- Engage with guests to help solve their specific needs
- Inform guests about current promos, store activities and events
- Be knowledgeable about tools, products, and services available in the total store to resolve issues and improve the guest experience
- Thank guests and communicate appreciation for their choice to shop at Target
- Speak to the benefits of Target Loyalty programs and assist with application or sign-up as needed
- Scan and bag guest items efficiently, accurately and in compliance with safety standards and best practices
- Work efficiently to minimize guest wait time while maintaining service and accuracy
- Explain features and offerings within the Target App including Wallet; assist with Order Pick-Up, Drive Up and online ordering
- Assist guests with returns following store policies, escalating as needed
- Maintain a clean, organized work area and stock supplies during store hours
- Demonstrate ethical conduct, safety and compliance; report hazards and correct where possible
- Support guest services such as order pick up, drive-up orders and related duties with compliance to laws
- All other duties based on business needs
- You enjoy interacting and helping others, including guests and team members
- You thrive in a fast-moving, active role requiring teamwork, flexibility and problem solving
- You are open to a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, holidays and peak times
- Effective communication with positive language and attentiveness to guest needs
- Welcoming and helpful attitude toward guests and teammates
- Attention to detail and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Ability to educate guests about products and services
- Comfort with using handheld scanners and other technology
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Capacity to stay focused in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Accurate checkout operations and support cash office duties as needed
- Stock merchandise safely with occasional heavy lifting up to 44 pounds; frequently lift/move up to 10 pounds
- Flexible work schedule including nights, weekends and holidays; reliable attendance required
- Ability to stay mobile for scheduled shift length
- Comfort working in varying temperatures and environments
