Responsibilities- Ensures operation of machinery and mechanical equipment by completing preventive maintenance.
- Reviews requirements on engines, motors, pneumatic tools, conveyor systems, and production machines; follows diagrams, sketches, operations manuals, manufacturer’s instructions, and engineering specifications; troubleshoots malfunctions.
- Troubleshoots—locates sources of problems by observing mechanical devices in operation, listening for problems, and using precision measuring and testing instruments.
- Removes defective parts by dismantling devices; uses hoists, cranes, and hand and power tools; examines form and texture of parts.
- Determines changes in dimensional requirements of parts by inspecting used parts and using rules, calipers, micrometers, and other measuring instruments.
- Adjusts functional parts of devices and control instruments by using hand tools, levels, plumb bobs, and straightedges.
- Controls downtime by conducting routine preventive maintenance techniques and monitoring compliance.
- Fabricates repair parts by using machine shop instrumentation and equipment.
- Maintains equipment, parts, and supplies inventories by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipates needed equipment, parts, and supplies; places and expediates orders; verifies receipt.
- Provides mechanical maintenance information by answering questions and requests.
- Prepares mechanical maintenance reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing information.
- Maintains technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing technical publications, and establishing personal networks.
- Maintains continuity among work teams by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.
- Maintains a safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
- Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Experience / Education- High School Diploma
- Prior field related experience
- Ability to pass required company tests; required to maintain and show proficiency during probationary training

- Previous experience in electrical engineering or other related fields
- Familiarity with electrical schematics, blueprints, and manuals
- Familiarity with electrical equipment and hand tools
- Strong problem solving and critical thinking skills
- Solid understanding of mechanics, pneumatics, hydraulics, and plumbing
- Welding and cutting skills preferred
- Language/Mathematical Skills
- Proficient in reading and writing
- Troubleshoot motor and control systems
- Perform routine maintenance on electrical wiring and systems
- Adhere to all quality and safety codes
- Standing for extended periods of time.
- Capable of lifting at least 50lbs.
- Manufacturing plant environment.
- Large machinery with moving parts as well as forklift traffic and material storage.
- Capable of climbing, kneeling, reaching, and working in restricted or confined spaces.
- 12‑hour days.
- On‑call availability.
- Overtime as needed.

Job Type: Full‑time – training to take place on 1st shift, converting to 2nd shift after training is complete
Pay: Depending on experience – starting at $24.00–$25.00 per hour
Salary: $24.00 per hour
