Forklift Operator

The Distribution Center Forklift Operator is accountable to perform Forklift operations at the designated terminal, including, but not limited to loading, unloading, fueling and daily preventive maintenance. This position will support Drivers and Customers by safely loading, unloading, and positioning cargo and containers as needed.

• Using the appropriate equipment, load, and unload containers from flatbed truck trailers.
• Move containers and reposition containers on the yard or lot as necessary.
• Communicate effectively with Drivers to maximize customer service and productivity.
• Communicate with Management to effectively schedule activities to support the operation.
• Interact with customers as necessary to coordinate containers and truck movements.
• Perform daily fueling, pre-trip/post trip, preventive maintenance as needed.
• Deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
• Work in a team environment to continuously improve results.

• Minimum two years’ experience in forklift operation.

• Basic skills in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic demonstrated by prior work history.
• Ability to deliver exceptional service through positive engagement and patience.
• Ability to promote a culture of trust and safety.

• There are no formal education requirements for this role, but the following requirements must be met:
• Must be able to read, write, and speak English.
• Must be able to comprehend written company policies and procedures.
• Must have basic math skills for certain job-related activities.
• CDL-A license and experience preferred.
