Warehouse Material Handler – Ryder System, Inc.
Ryder is immediately hiring for a Permanent Full‑Time Warehouse Material Handler in Jackson, Tennessee. The candidate will use state‑of‑the‑art equipment to safely handle food products and operate forklifts and other powered industrial trucks.
Position Description• Pay: $18.84 per hour, paid weekly.

- High school diploma or equivalent (preferred)
- One (1) year or more related warehouse and/or powered industrial truck experience (preferred)
- Valid Forklift Operator's License (certified)
- Strong verbal and written communication skills

- Ability to create and maintain professional relationships at all levels of the organization
- Highly thorough and dependable
- Must be punctual with a good attendance record
- Works independently with minimal supervision

- Ability to lift and/or push/pull up to 35 lbs
- Ability to stand for long periods of time
- Ability to work using health and safety methods
- Must be available to work on a flexible schedule on various work shifts
- Detail oriented with excellent follow‑up practices
Some positions require additional screening that may include employment and education verification, motor vehicle records check, a road test, and/or background requirements of the customer to which you are assigned.
Responsibilities- Perform warehouse functions, including loading, picking, packing, shipping, receiving, forklift operation, and cycle counting
- Operate within performance measurement guidelines of the contract
- Accurately pick and pack, audit, tote induction, staging of products, and load/unload trucks
- Handle day‑to‑day paperwork in a warehouse environment (e.g., picking sheets, returns, bills of lading)
- Provide technical and maintenance support for the automated packing system during core shift hour of production
- Perform other duties as assigned
