You will play a key role in managing projects from start to finish—overseeing scope, budgets, and schedules while mentoring others and ensuring top-tier quality assurance. Your work will include establishing or reestablishing survey control, conducting research, creating accurate records, and assuming statutory responsibility for completed surveys.

Requirements

  • Lead and mentor field and office staff to ensure projects are delivered accurately, on time, and within budget.
  • Conduct and oversee boundary, topographic, construction, control, and geodetic surveys—bringing clarity and confidence to every phase of a project.
  • Manage project scope, schedules, contracts, and billing with guidance from the Senior Project Manager.
  • Research records, maps, and legal documents to support surveying accuracy and legal compliance.
  • Ensure quality assurance/quality control standards are met and maintained throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Serve as the responsible charge—signing and sealing survey documents with professionalism and care.
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and government officials to ensure project needs and permitting requirements are met.
  • Maintain accurate survey records and contribute to GIS data and mapping efforts.
  • Participate in industry organizations and continuing education to stay current and support the firm's reputation.
Qualifications:Required:
  • Licensed Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) in Wyoming or the ability to become licensed in Wyoming within 12 months of hire
  • 4+ years of post-graduate experience (or 3–6 years with a Master’s), including leadership responsibilities
  • Proficient with AutoCAD and surveying software
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Skills:

  • Strong leadership and communication abilities
  • Working knowledge of local plats, deeds, codes, and land use practices
  • Detail-oriented with solid problem-solving and project management skills
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with clients, colleagues, and stakeholders
