Job Duties and Responsibilities
  • Achievement of budgeted food sales, beverage sales, and labor costs.
  • Achieve maximum profitability and overall success by controlling costs and quality of service.
  • Complete BEOs in an accurate and timely fashion.
  • Produce a weekly schedule for hotel food and beverage staff according to business levels and labor budgets.
  • Supervise and coordinate daily operation of meeting/banquet set‑ups and service.
  • Complete Banquet Bar Requisition s.
  • Follow proper purchasing and requisitioning procedures.
  • Maintain records for inventory, labor cost, and food cost, etc.
  • Assist in menu planning and pricing.
  • Ensure that services meet customer specifications.
  • Ensure quality of meeting room set‑up; brief staff before every event; turn rooms around in time for the next event.
  • Ensure all areas are kept clean before, during, and after an event.
  • Participate in overall hotel maintenance and cleanliness.
  • Handle customer complaints.
  • Work with the Catering Sales Manager to increase department sales; assist with show rounds when necessary.
  • Check staff attitude and appearance.
  • Foster teamwork and professional relations with co‑workers and management.
  • Ensure staff is properly trained; complete all training checklists on time.
  • Perform staff training and development; complete annual performance reviews; ensure ongoing training, coaching, and mentoring of the Banquets team.
  • Personal development and growth.
  • Perform various other duties as assigned to meet business objectives.
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality or related fields preferred.
  • At least two (2) years’ experience as a Banquet Supervisor or prior experience in managing or supervising a banquet/F&B team.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Must have a flexible schedule, be highly motivated and quality driven.
  • Detail oriented yet able to excel while multi‑tasking.
  • Able to accept responsibility and lead by example.
  • Cash handling and computer skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.
