Base pay range: $27.59/hr – $27.59/hr.

Below market rental housing available. Up to $9,250 signing/performance/safety/housing/benefit differential/returning driver bonus, winter ski pass discounts, and access to several free ski vouchers. Full bonus is based on several factors including averaging a minimum of 35 hours/week. Employment includes use of the Town of Jackson exercise gym.

Southern Teton Area Rapid Transit (START) Bus is hiring qualified Transit Operators for 40 hours/week and for fill‑in/part‑time for the winter season November 29, 2025 – April 12, 2026. Paid pre‑season training starting on November 12, 2025. This is an excellent opportunity for a value‑centered, team‑oriented professional interested in public service as well as enjoying a vibrant Rocky Mountain ski resort lifestyle with world‑class skiing in Jackson Hole and Nordic skiing in Bridger Teton National Forest, as well as Grand Teton and Yellowstone National Parks.

Primary duty is the operation of a bus in order to transport and assist the general public along a fixed route. Routes include transporting skiers/ snowboarders/ employees/ guests to and from the Town of Jackson and Teton Village, transporting locally employed and visitors throughout Town, fill‑in shifts transporting commuters from Teton Valley Idaho and Star Valley Wyoming, and fill‑in shifts serving our most vulnerable with ADA service all while operating an updated fleet of diesel powered buses, motor coaches for commuters, hybrid diesel/electric buses, and smaller gas powered shuttle buses.

Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful performance would be qualifying. Qualifications include:
Class B CDL with air brake and passenger endorsement. Successful applicants will possess the ability to deal politely, effectively and responsibly with the public. 5 year driving record required with application. Rental housing is available on a first come‑first served basis for employee + spouse/partner. Housing is available as of November 1, 2025.
