Residential Manager I – Pathfinder, Inc.
Manager of one residential facility. Works under the direct supervision of the Director of Residential Services/Administrative Coordinator. Responsible for serving as a role model for all residents and subordinate staff; responsible for daily operation, security and safety of the residential services facility assigned. Also handles general supervision and training for all subordinate staff and residents in the residential services facility.
Responsibilities- Supervise and assist subordinate staff in training residents in independent living skills, home management skills, cooking, cleaning and socialization skills, utilizing the work wheel (as necessary) and task analysis.
- Coordinate schedules for both Waiver and generic service categories.
- Ensure that all DDS regulations and guidelines are met with respect to the requirements of the residential services facility.
- Provide safety and security of the residential facility.
- Serve as liaison between the person, parents/legal representation, Case Manager, and Waiver/DDS officials.
- Complete monthly and quarterly reports and various other records (attendance, drills, maintenance, etc.).
- Coordinate mediation, investigations, and disciplinary actions with appropriate personnel.
- Purchase and keep inventory of all supplies bought and received for staff/residents use.
- Complete incident and behavior reports and relay them to appropriate personnel.
- Oversee medication management program and coordinate with LPN/RNs and the contracted pharmacy.
- Supervise participant referral process for entry into the facility.
- Supervise training of residents in total realm of residential adjustment as they lead to independence and placement.
- Keep abreast of training and work opportunities for individuals served by maintaining a solid working relationship with all funding sources and attending appropriate training and seminars.
- Supervise and train Residential/Waiver supportive living employees; appraise and accomplish annual evaluations; coordinate subordinate staff schedules, time worked, vacation and personal leave accrual.
- Offer suggestions and feedback to all workers who provide supportive living services for Pathfinder, Inc to ensure quality care.
- Review cases and focus on recipients' progress in meeting goals and objectives established through the Plan of Care.
- Monitor all supportive living services as assigned.
- Maintain accurate records for client money management, bills, and clear audit trail for assessment purposes as required.
- Process paperwork for clients who move in or move out, all verification documents, HUD files, and other duties relating to housing, Section 8 or other as required.
- Follow Pathfinder Policies and procedures, applicable state regulations, CARF regulations, DDS regulations, HUD regulations, Waiver regulations and other licensing requirements necessary for quality of care.
- Perform any other related duties as required or assigned.
High school or GED, plus specialized schooling and/or on-the-job education in a specific skill area; e.g., data processing, clerical/administrative, equipment operation, etc., plus 2 years related experience and/or training, and 7 to 11 months related management experience, or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Required Certificates, Licenses, RegistrationsMust possess a valid driver's license, maintain personal liability insurance, and be able to drive Pathfinder, Inc. vehicle if needed. Must be able to pass applicable background checks and drug screen. Any offer of employment will be based on the results of background checks and drug screen.
Salary$21.10 per hour
